Removing PC case covers
Always turn off your PC and remove all cables before opening a PC case.
You will need;
Philips head screwdriver (cross point)
Anti-ESD kit
Removing the case covers from your PC tower is a simple task. After turning
off the PC and removing all cables, move the PC to a clear working area.
Attach your anti-ESD kit as per the manufacturers instructions. Almost
all cases are attached via 4 or 6 screws on the rear edges of the tower.
Some cases will have 2 separate side panels, at times you will only need
to remove one side (such as installing PCI cards). Other cases provide
access by removing a single cover that wraps both sides and the top of
the tower in a single sleeve. In both instances remove the screws and
slide the cover back, Single panel covers will just drop away from the
case, a sleeve type cover normally lifts after sliding it backwards a
short distance. Most desktop PC cases are removed in a similar fashion
to a tower with a sleeve cover.
